DC Welcoming Reception (June 7, 16:00)
The DC welcoming reception is hosted in the Uppsala University Main Building in the Chancellor’s Room. Participants are expected to have arrived in Uppsala for the welcoming reception taking place on Friday the 7th of June starting at 16.00. How to travel to Uppsala
To travel to Uppsala from Arlanda airport or Stockholm city centre, the train is the easiest way. You can book SJ tickets on line or you can purchase the ticket at the airport (Sky City) or at Stockholm Central Station. For more information, see Travel to Uppsala
When arriving in Uppsala, the University Main Building is a 15 min walk from the central station, or if taxi is preferred there are always taxis waiting outside of the train station. For directions, see: https://tinyurl.com/UUdirectionsDC

DC (June 8-9)
The Doctorial Consortium will take place mainly at Gimo Herrgård, a mansion in the countryside just outside of Uppsala. For more information about Gimo Herrgård: http://www.gimoherrgard.se/
After the reception a bus will transport us all to Gimo Herrgård where the D.C will continue throughout the weekend.
Transportation will be provided back to Uppsala on Monday 10th of June upon the ending of the D.C. The arrival time in Uppsala central station is 10.00 on Monday 10th of June.
Travel from Uppsala to Stockholm
You can take a train from Uppsala Central Station to Stockholm City.
- SJ train: the journey takes 39 minutes.
- SL commuter train: the journey takes 54 minutes. If you will participate in ECIS 2019 workshops and tutorials at Kista Campus on June 10 and June 11 and will stay in the Kista area, then we recommend that you take an SL commuter train. Remember to get off at Helenelund Station before you arrive in Stockholm City. You then walk approx. 14 minutes from the Helenelund Station to Kista Campus (Borgarfjordsgatan 12).
